With four members and twenty three strings spanning Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Bass, the band has more than enough string band energy to impress!
RICK TARRANT
RICK TARRANT - Vocals, Guitar and song writing. Rick is well known on the local music scene around Southampton having played numerous venues and festivals, both as a solo performer and with Contraband (a 4/5 piece Bluegrass Band). His flat picking is heavily influenced by Doc Watson and Tony Rice. Rick is also a lead vocal, and our main song writer. He has a solo recorded album of his own songs!
SALLY WATSON
SALLY WATSON - Vocals, Mandolin and song writing. Sally has been singing for sometime, and really enjoys the Bluegrass genre. She has been involved in shows, choirs etc. and can adapt to many different styles of music. She has a skilled interpretation of her material and great voice control. Her expressive voice adds depth and emotion to every performance.
RICHARD HOLLAND
RICHARD HOLLAND - Vocals, Banjo and Guitar. Richard has been playing Folk music for many years. His involvement with Bluegrass started around 1987 when he found out what a Banjo was! He has since played in bands with - Richard Collins (Joe Browns Band /Hayseed Dixie, Joe Hymas (Hayseed Dixie) Guested for Jack Lawrence (Doc Watson's Guitarist), Home Territory, Blossom Hill, Dalebilly and Contraband.
TIM BOUSFIELD
TIM BOUSFIELD - Tim's love affair with the bass began at the age of fourteen when he took a pair of wire cutters to the top two strings of a junk shop Guitar. Since then, he's been through many basses and many bands from punk to funk, rock to jazz, but it's Rootsy, Bluegrass and Folk where he's most at home these days. Generally to be found low in the mix, liberating his team mates with more strings to do their thing!
